Promoting digital creativity as a tool of expression for artists and a driver of transformation for cultural institutions

Promoting digital creativity as a tool of expression for artists and a driver of transformation for cultural institutions

The concept of ‘post-digital flow’ refers to the way in which artistic creation, perception and interaction with the world take place in an environment where the digital is no longer an afterthought, but an integral and natural part of our everyday experience.

This 5th Symposium examines digital art from a historical and socio-cultural perspective, offering a critical view of the canon and highlighting marginalised practices. It explores the tension between technological fragility and the need to build sustainable memories and archives.
It also analyses the role of artificial intelligence in redefining authorship, agency and aesthetic identity, fostering dialogue between different actors within the artistic ecosystem and proposing preservation and mediation strategies adapted to the changing nature of digital media.
