A_Tempo
What does a painting sound like? “A_tempo” is a museum shop product designed to enhance the way art is appreciated and felt by incorporating music and sound into the visitor’s experience. It is a small mechanical music box that plays a melody when the crank is turned. By analyzing the colors of a painting, a unique musical piece is generated that reflects the chromatic palette of the artwork. The buyer can also compose music, as it includes instructions for doing so. The design is very simple, both in form and in practical application. It requires no prior knowledge of music or art, just an inquisitive mind and an openness to a multidisciplinary and multisensory approach to art.
HiloDoble
Items such as bags, notebooks, folders, cases, glasses covers, etc., made for sale in museum shops using advertising banners from museums once exhibitions have ended. This converts a waste product generated by the museum into an item resulting from the museum’s circular economy. The material is entirely innovative and sustainable in this context and also generates social impact, as all materials are crafted by people in situations of special social vulnerability who gain employment through our social enterprise, thus promoting their socio-labor integration. This represents museums’ commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.
Libro-juego: El ladrón de alas
This book-game combines the world of books, video games, and cultural heritage to serve museology and the educational community. Aimed at young people aged 12 to 18, the book is based on hypertext narrative, where readers choose the order of reading. Through various QR codes embedded in the pages, readers also become players, accessing online games such as puzzles, enigmas, and riddles whose answers indicate how to continue reading. The entire plot, aesthetics, and games are designed based on the museum’s collections, and the book concludes with an invitation to continue the adventure in the museum itself.
